baking soda is used for the maintenance of the linen and the house, but also for the hygiene, the care of the body and the kitchen. It is a cleaning agent, type scouring powder for bathtubs and sinks, softener for laundry, water softener and deodorizer for carpets or rugs and refrigerators. In the garden, it can be used as a fungicide.
If your cupboard should contain only one ingredient for the maintenance of your home, it is baking soda.
What is baking soda?
It is composed of sodium (salt), hydrogen, carbon and oxygen. It is found in the form of fine grains, useful in the kitchen and to prepare its cosmetics, or even coarser, for the manufacture of cleaning products.
Some precautions for use:
Do not use technical baking soda, for food, pharmaceutical or cosmetic use. To each his degree of purity!
It should not be swallowed in large quantities. It is not suitable for aluminum surfaces, nor for washing wool and silk. It must not be stored in a refrigerator or stored in an iron box. Baking soda keeps years away from moisture.
Make your dish product:
Mix with a whisk: 3 tablespoons of baking soda, 3 tablespoons of soda crystals, 4 tablespoons of liquid black soap + 1 liter of boiling water ... Cool 2 to 3 hours at room temperature. Add a few drops of lemon essential oil.
Make a degreaser:
Mix 1 glass of soda crystals + 1/2 glass of baking soda + 1/2 glass of liquid black soap + 1 glass and a half of white vinegar to 14% + 1 liter and 3/4 of warm water, heat all, then, once cooled, add 5 drops of lemon essential oil. This mixture is to be used to degrease, rinse after application.
Clean the oven:
Mix 1 cup of baking soda + 1 cup of salt + 1 cup of hot water. Apply this mixture on the walls of the cold oven, let it work for 10 minutes, then heat the oven thoroughly for 15 minutes, rinse the walls with a sponge when the oven is lukewarm.
Make your laundry:
4 tablespoons of baking soda + 50 g of Marseille soap in chips + 1 liter of hot water.
Put the soap in an empty container and pour in the water, then shake to dissolve the soap. When the water is lukewarm, pour the baking soda, shake. You can add a dozen drops of lemon essential oil, lavender essential oil or tea tree ... and here is an organic and economical laundry.
Make an anti-limescale cleaner:
Put 2 tablespoons of baking soda in a glass. Add 30 drops of lemon essential oil. Fill the glass with white vinegar. Then pour the mixture into a pump bottle and fill with water.
Clean carpets and rugs:
Vacuum carpet or carpet and sprinkle with baking soda. Brush and let dry an hour. Suck again.
