Ocre rouge RFLES (= red ochre RFLES - dark red washed extra superior) results from the cooking of the ocre jaune JFLES (yellow ochre JFLES), extracted from our quarry in Gargas (Vaucluse). It is the finest ochre, the most followed and the most loaded in iron oxide (for more information, read our article on the manufacture of ochre HERE).
