This kit contains all the ingredients needed to paint 15 m² of flour paint (also called "swedish paint") with ocre rouge RFLES - red ochre RFLES (flour, pigment, linseed oil, black soap, iron sulfate).
Linseed oil, appreciated for its siccativity, is the most used, as a grinding binder, to develop oil colors. It is also a necessary ingredient in the flour paint recipe.

The "Ochres" box contains eight ochres (pure pigments and mixtures) in a wooden slide box with transparent lid. The ochres come from our quarry in Gargas (Vaucluse, France).

THE OCHRES BOX
The "Soleil" (= sun) box contains eight natural and synthetic pigments of yellow colour, from the lightest to the darkest, all brighter than each other. Yellow, the color of light, is often associated with joy and positive vibes.

"SOLEIL" BOX
The "Vermeil" box contains eight natural and synthetic pigments of red colour. Red is one of the first pigments discovered and used by man. Its color is passionate, warm and deep. This box offers reds just as different from each other that will not fail to surprise you !

"VERMEIL" BOX
The "Prairie" box contains eight natural and synthetic pigments of green colour. Ranging from a bright light green (vert 4FR) to a deep green (vert Monte-Carlo), it offers you a full range of pigments in the colors of ecology.

The "Bonbons" box contains eight natural and synthetic pigments in pink tones. From light pink (Bois de rose) to bright pink (rose fuchsia), this box offers a range of pink for every taste.

DISCOVERY BOX (B)
The "Terre" (= earths) box contains eight natural pigments in brown tones. Brown pigments were for a long time mainly earths, rare and difficult to obtain. Today, we present them in this box.

THE EARTHS BOX (M)
Sofadher is a product of adhesion and a porosity regulator that is used on inappropriate media before the application of whitewash. It is the perfect primer before a Badisof's application (for the Badisof Plus, we will rather turn to the Sofix).
Sofadher is a film paint and does not apply on a support that has had covers.
Consumption : 1kg = about 30 m² (depending on support). Technical data to download below in the section "download".
SOFADHER - UNDERLAYER IND. FOR LIMEWASH PAINT
Meudon white acts as a filler and opacifying in the manufacture of many recipes of traditional paints, but also for the preparation of surfaces to be painted. It allows to increase the covering capacity of paints and is also used as a household product. This ingredient is present in many of our recipes of artistic paintings or for the cleaning of your house.
MEUDON WHITE
Casein (milk protein) is a natural fixative for limewash paints to which it provides matte and velvety. Used by artists from the Middle Ages, it is perfect for frescoes and icons. A little neglected over time, it returns to fashion especially in the decoration of painted furniture.
CASEIN
Glue of animal origin, it has a powerful tackiness and can be used in many ways (sealant, glue, coating, paint, etc). The rabbit skin glue is known for its properties of flexibility and finesse.
RABBIT SKIN GLUE
Arabic gum is the binder traditionally used for watercolor. It is made from acacia and is the oldest of the gums.
ARABIC GUM IN POWDER
Acrylic powder binder is a mixture of vinyl acetate and acrylic copolymer. It provides good adhesion, flexibility and water resistance to mortars containing hydraulic binders such as cement, gypsum or lime. It can be used for many applications (binder for artistic paintings, cementitious tile adhesive, thermal insulation system, flexible glue, repair mortar, etc).
ACRYLIC POWDER BINDER
Methylcellulose is used in the preparation of paints and limewashes, as well as mortars or lime stuccoes. It is an adjuvant and a water retainer. It is also used as a resin for the manufacture of traditional gouaches as well as for the preparation of vinyl, acrylic and tempera colors.
METHYLCELLULOSE
The iron sulphate is needed for the recipe of the flour paint outdoor.
IRON SULFATE
Ocre Havane (= havane ochre) is the only orange hue of the ochres of Vaucluse. It is manufactured in Apt by Ocres de France.

OCRE JAUNE CLAIR
Ocre jaune foncé JFLES (Jaune Foncé Lavé Extra Supérieur) (= dark yellow ochre JFLES - Dark Yellow Washed Extra Superior) is our ochre star. It is extracted from ochre ore in our quarry at Gargas (Vaucluse). To recover it pure, it is necessary to follow a long process of extraction, separation, washing, settling, drying and grinding (for more information on the manufacture of ochre, clic HERE). It is also with ocre jaune JFLES (dark yellow ochre JFLES) that ocre rouge RFLES (red ochre RFLES) is made by calcinating it. Its color is luminous, soft.
