L'Ombre de Chypre HG (= umber HG of Cyprus) is an umber that comes from Cyprus. The umber earth probably owes its name to the latin "umbra" (shadow) which was once used to cast down the colors. Cyprus is the largest producer of earths in the Mediterranean basin. Traces of this earth can be found everywhere. They are taken in the form of clay which makes them accessible and cheap pigments.
This pigment is 100% natural. 

The granite pebble is the indispensable tool for the finishing of the tadelakt, it allows to smooth the coating and to make penetrate the black soap to make the coating completely waterproof.
